측두하악장애 환자의 이갈이와 하악골융기의 관계

Abstract

Purpose: The study was to evaluate the relationship between self-reported bruxism and torus mandibularis in patients with temporomandibular disorders(TMD). Methods: 375 patients diagnosed as temporomandibular disorders and 433 control patients at Chosun university dental hospital from 1st Nov. 2017 to 30th Jun. 2018 were conducted. The subjects were divided into TMD group and control group. Self-reported bruxism and torus mandibularis in each group were investigated and compared stastically. Results: Female in sex distribution and prevalence of self-reported bruxism and torus mandibularis was more common in TMD group than in control group(p<0.05). There was no significant difference in the relationship between self-reported bruxism and torus mandibularis(p>0.05). Conclusions: Prevalence of self-reported bruxism and torus mandibularis was higher in TMD patients than in control patients. Bruxism and torus mandibularis might be useful as an indicator of increased risk of TMD.
