A Study on 1980's Coterie magazine and Mook in Kwang-ju

In the 1980s, three kinds of Coterie magazine and three kinds of mooks were introduced in kwangju area. In 1980, there was an event that symbolized May Kwang-ju, so the publication of Coterie magazine and mooks as a cultural movement in Kwang-ju area is meaningful as a locality research. In the 1980s, in the history of Korean literature, there are several achievements of the Coterie magazine and mooks in the Kwang-ju area. As a locality, the kwangju area seems to have dominated the center in the 1980s in terms of geography, politics, society, and scale. key word; locality, 1980's, Coterie magazine, Mook ,the Kwang-ju area. |1980년대 광주지역에서 활동한 동인지 3종과 창간된 무크지 3종을 내용과 의미를 살피고자 하였다. 80년은 오월광주를 상징하는 사건이 있었기에 광주지역의 문화운동으로서 동인지와 무크지의 발행은 로컬리티 문학 연구로서 의미가 있다. 1980년대 한국문학사에서 광주지역 동인지와 무크지의 공로는 몇 가지로 나타난다. 첫째, 로컬리티 차원에서 동인지는 새로운 한국문단의 활력을 제공하였다.『창작과 비평』와 『문학과 지성』로 되었던 중앙편중의 문학계가 타의에 의해 고사하려 할 때 건강하고 새로운 생명력을 한국 문단계에 침입시킴으로써 보다 웅장하고 다양하며 열린 문학계의 범위를 넓혔다고 보여 진다. 둘째, 당대성의 저항담론을 자신들도 모른 채 체득하여 저항적 발언으로 문학적 복무에 충실한 동인지는 『목요시』, 『5월시』 동인이 있었고 원탁시 동인은 개별성의 서정을 담은 일상시로서 문학공동체의 역할을 하였다. 무크지들은 지역문화의 형태로 전국을 융합할 수 있는 기회를 마련했다. 그러면서 탈식민지적 저항담론의 습지대를 형성했다고 보여 진다. 셋째, 광주지역이 받은 트라우마를 적극적, 능동적으로 극복하고 적절한 탈식민지과 탈중앙에 대한 저항담론을 숭고한 에너지로 삼고자 하였던 것으로 보인다. 넷째, 중앙문단이라는 견고한 경계들에 질문해 나가면서 틈새를 만들어 새로운 자기생성의 지대를 상상하는 지역운동을 이론화 하는데 주력했다. 1980년대 한국 문학계는 패권세력이라는 공룡의 출몰로 황폐화 되고 있었다. 그러나 지방이며 패권세력의 희생지인 광주는 억압에 저항하는 문학과 지역운동을 병행 하였다. 그것은 문학계의 확장이자, 건강한 활력으로서 문학사의 복무였다. 그러한 활력은 주요한 문화운동이다. 로컬리티의 입장에서 재해석이 필요하고 자리매김을 조정해야 한다. 결국 1980년대 『목요시』와 『오월시』 동인들은 ‘지역이 민족 문학의 중심’이라는 방향성으로 로컬리티적 지역운동을 전개하고 담론을 형성하였으며 동인지 『목요시』와 『오월시』와 무크지 『민족과 문학』와 『민족현실과 지역운동』 ,『민족과 지역』 은 광주지역 문단을 대표하는 상징적인 동인지이자 무크지 들이 되었다. 물론 광주 지역 문단의 맹주임을 자처하는 동인이면서 중앙문단이기도 하였다. 로컬리티(locality)로서 광주지역은 지리, 정치, 사회, 스케일 면에서 1980년대는 중앙을 압도했다고 보여 진다. 키워드; 로컬리티, 1980년대, 동인지, 무크지, 광주지역,
