Researcher has interest in the visualizing the social landscape of this natural material and will continue to deepen through a more diverse and experimental methods.|인류 초기에는 언어가 발달하지 않아 표현 수단 범위가 한정적이었고, 인간은 자연을 묘사하기 위해 언어 이외의 다른 표현 수단인 몸짓, 소리, 그림 등 원시예술형태로 자연을 표현하려는 노력을 끊임없이 하였다. 또한 자연(自然)은 인간에게 끊임없는 영감(靈感)과 감동(感動)을 주며, 인간은 자연의 위대함과 아름다움에 영향을 받으며 자연을 지속적인 관찰(觀察)과 표현(表現)의 대상으로 삼았다. 자연은 인간의 삶과 예술의 근원(根源)이며, 예술 표현 대상의 보고(寶庫)라 할 수 있다. 자연을 있는 그대로 재현하는 것이 과거 예술의 고정 관념이었다면, 현대 예술에서는 자연이 주는 감동과 더불어 작가의 주관적 개성과 독창성을 가미(加味)하여 자연이 주는 감동을 재해석(再解析)하고 이를 표현하여 보는 사람들에게 그 의미를 전달하는 노력을 하고 있다. 본 연구에서 자연 이미지는 감성으로 표현되는 일반적인 표현방법을 추구하였다. 이와 같은 표현을 위해서는 자연의 순수함과 광대한 대지(大地)의 의미를 이해해야만 가능하다. 이러한 이해는 자연풍경에서 색상 하나로 대상을 정확히 표현하는 풍경(風景)의 사상과 일맥상통(一脈相通)한 것이라 할 수 있다. 생동감 있고 역동적인 자연 이미지의 아름다움을 위해서는 적절한 명도, 채도, 원근감 등을 사용하는 표현요소 이외에도 작가의 감성(感性)이 중요하다고 생각한다. 감성은 수동성을 포함한다는 의미에서 인간의 유한성을 나타내고 있다. 이와는 반대로, 인간세계와 자연세계를 이어주는 교량(橋梁)적 의미로 인간생활의 기본범위를 열어 주는 역할을 한다. 오늘날 여러 학문들에 내포되어 있는 감성들을 살펴보면 감성을 비감성적인 요소들로부터 분리한다는 것은 불가능한 일이다. 오히려 감성을 인간 삶을 영위(營爲)함에 있어서 가장 기본적인 한 부분으로 고찰하는 것이 일반적인 경향이다. 따라서 아름다운 자연경관 중 나무가 주는 감동에 본 연구자가 느낀 감정을 가미(加味)하여 종이에 아크릴 염료와 먹을 이용해 자연에서 나무가 느끼게 하는 감성을 독창적으로 표현하고자 시도했다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 동·서양의 표현양식과 구성에 대해 본인이 느끼는 자연풍경을 대상으로 예술적·심미적 구현의 중심적 내용을 바탕으로 본인 작품 내용들을 정리하는 데에 연구 목적이 있다고 할 수 있다.
