보건행정 전공 학생의 도덕적 자아개념 및 윤리적 가치관과 환자 개인정보 보호인지와의 관련성

Abstract

Objectives: This study was performed to find the association of moral self-concept and ethical values with perception for protection of patient’s personal information among students majored in healthcare administration. Methods: Study subjects were 820 students majored in healthcare administration of 11 colleges in Honam region. Data were collected by using self-adminstered questionnaire composed of general characteristics, scales of moral self-concept, ethical values and perception for protection of patient’s personal information. The used statistical analysis methods were t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlational analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to identify the associated factors of perception for protection of patients' personal information. Results: Mean scores of moral self-concept, ethical values and perception for protection of patients' personal information were 3.51±0.37, 3.60±0.40, and 3.01±0.43, respectively. Moral self-concept and ethical values were significantly positively correlated with perception for protection of patients' personal information. And it also identified the relationship of moral self-concept, ethical values and perception for protection of patients' personal information through multiple regression analysis. Conclusions: This study showed that necessary virtues of students in healthcare administration who would be dealed with medical information were moral self-concept and ethical values to protect patients' personal information. Therefore if would be needed that diverse educational and case-based learning program should be implemented in college to train responsible medical recored technicians. |본 연구는 의무기록사가 되기 위해 교육을 받는 보건행정 전공 대학생들의 도덕적 자아개념 및 윤리적 가치관과 환자 개인정보 보호인지와의 관련성을 분석하여 환자 개인정보 보호인지를 향상시킬 교육프로그램 개발에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하기 위하여 시행하였다. 자기기입식 설문지를 이용하여 820명의 보건행정 전공 대학생들의 환자 개인정보 보호인지와 도덕적 자아개념 및 윤리적 가치관을 조사하였다. t-검정과 분산분석, Pearson의 상관분석, 다중선형회귀분석을 이용하여 보건행정 전공 대학생들의 도덕적 자아개념 및 윤리적 가치관과 환자 개인정보 보호인지와의 관련성을 제시하였다. 연구 결과, 환자 개인정보 보호인지에 대한 평균점수는 5점 만점에 3.01±0.43점, 도덕적 자아개념의 평균점수는 3.51±0.37점, 윤리적 가치관의 평균점수는 3.60±0.40점이었다. 환자 개인정보 보호인지에 미치는 변수들의 관련요인을 알아보기 위해 단순분석에서 통계적으로 유의했던 변수인 성별, 연령, 학제, 학년, 흡연여부, 그리고 개인정보 교육여부를 독립변수로 하여 다중선형회귀분석을 시행하였다. 분석결과, 도덕적 자아개념(β=0.101, p=0.003)과 윤리적 가치관(β=0.064, p=0.048)에서 환자 개인정보 보호인지에 유의한 관련성을 보였다. 일반적 특성에서는 1학년보다는 3학년(β=0.372, p<0.001), 4학년(β=0.379, p<0.001), 2학년(β=0.144, p<0.001)에서, 개인정보 교육여부는 교육을 받지 않은 대상자에 비해 교육을 받은 대상자(β=0.052, p=0.044)에서 환자 개인정보 보호인지에 유의한 관련성을 보였다. 결론적으로 보건행정 전공 대학생의 도덕적 자아개념과 윤리적 가치관이 환자 개인정보 보호인지와 유의한 관련이 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 환자 개인정보 보호인지에 대한 보건행정 전공 대학생의 실천도를 높이기 위해서는 재학 기간 중에 개인정보보호법에 대한 중요성을 인식하게 하고, 이를 높일 수 있는 구체적인 교육시간 편성 및 교과목을 통한 직접적인 교육을 통해서 의무기록사로서의 역할과 의무를 잘 수행할 수 있도록 하여야 할 것이다. 또한 도덕적 자아개념과 윤리적 가치관을 높이기 위한 다양한 사례기반 학습을 통하여 환자 개인정보 보호인지와 실천이 이루어질 수 있도록 하여야 할 것이다.
