Human Internality which appear through the Expression of Face

This study intensively analyses the internality of humans in order to examine picturesque facial expressions. As modern society has become more complicated and diverse, individualism has overflowed. In this society, people are isolated in their frames from society. Isolation from society is selected arbitrarily. The absence of communication and isolation are a universal phenomena in modern society. We communicate with others through language and behaviors, but we can not share internally deep truths because of mechanical communication. We fail in active relationships with others as social beings and have been isolated. As a result, human isolation occurs and human relationship are incomplete, which brings about selfishness and mistrust. This study looked at human faces with universality as symbolic objects and analysed objective facts for the feelings on faces. Faces were looked at in terms of anatomy and the roles and influence facial muscles have, which are important in facial expression, were investigated in order to organize definite concepts of faces and facilitate understanding of how to express emotion. Based on the results of the analysis, this study examined diverse kinds of postures and feelings in modern people, focusing on picturesque expressions on faces from the internality of humans. By analysing paintings based on the internality of humans in different times, this study understood the artistic formativeness used in diverse faces. This study identified painting styles of different times in By Da Vinchi, by Rembrandt, and paintings by Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso, Andy Warhol and Chuck Close as well as the characteristics of facial expressions. This study visualized the emotions of modern people and analysed human nature according to the forms expressed, hoping to encourage artists to overcome themselves from isolation and do well as members of modern society.

본 논문은 본인의 회화적 얼굴표현에 대한 과정을 연구하고자 인간의 내면성에 관하여 심층 분석한다. 현대사회가 점점 더 복잡하고 다양해지면서 개인주의가 팽배해져가고 있다. 이러한 사회 속에서 사람들은 각자 테두리 안에 갇혀 세상과 단절되어 있다. 사회와의 단절은 자의로 소외된 삶을 택하여 사는 것밖에 되지 않는다. 소통의 부재와 단절은 흔히 현대사회의 보편적인 현상이다. 우리는 매일 언어와 행동 등 다양한 방법으로 타인과 소통하며 살아가지만 기계적인 소통으로 인해 내면의 깊숙한 진실을 공유하지 못하게 되어버렸다. 사회적 존재로서 타인과 정상적인 관계 맺음을 실패한 채 소외되고 만 것이다. 그 결과 인간 소외 현상이 발생하게 되고 인간관계 가운데 서로가 진실 되지 못한 불완전한 모습을 보이게 되면서 이기주의, 불신 등을 야기한다. 인간의 신체 부위 중 가장 보편성을 띄는 얼굴을 상징적 대상으로 바라보고 얼굴이라는 표면에서 나타나는 감정의 객관적 사실 내용을 바탕으로 이론적으로 접근한다. 신체의 일부 중 하나인 얼굴을 해부학적 관점으로 바라보고 얼굴표정에 중심이 되는 얼굴 근육이 하는 역할과 미치는 영향에 대해 연구함으로써 얼굴의 확실한 개념을 정립하고 감정표현방법에 대한 이해를 도모하고자 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 급변하는 사회 속에 살아가는 현대인들의 자세와 감정의 다양한 종류에 대해서 살펴보고, 이러한 삶 가운데 인간의 내면성으로부터 나오는 얼굴표정의 회화적 표현을 중심으로 연구한다. 또한 시대별 인간의 내면성을 바탕으로 한 작가의 작품 분석을 통해 다양한 얼굴에 나타나는 조형성에 대해 살펴본다. 레오나르도 다 빈치의 에서부터 렘브란트의 자화상, 반 고흐, 마티스, 피카소 그리고 현대 작가 앤디 워홀과 척 클로스에 이르기까지 당시 시대의 화법과 얼굴표현의 특성을 파악하여 본인 회화작업에 뒷받침하고자 한다. 본 논문은 현재를 살아가는 인간의 감정을 얼굴 형상화 작업을 통해 시각화 시켜 조형화 된 형태에 따라 인간의 본질적인 모습을 연구한 것이다. 그리하여 본인은피폐해진 자아를 극복하고 내적감정을 제대로 파악하여 현대사회 구성원의 일부로서 역할을 잘 해냈으면 하는 바램 이다.
