청소년의 완벽주의와 학교적응의 관계: 자기불일치와 연령의 조절효과

Abstract

The research was regarding the effect of perfectionism on the school adjustment of adolescent. and this study examined moderating effects of self-discrepancy and age on the relation between perfectionism and school adjustment. Through this, it intended to help the counsel and the program for adolescents who have perfectionism inclination. In this study, 302 adolescents from elementary(4th-6th grade), middle, and high school of Seoul, Gyungi, Choungbuk, Chonnam, Gwangju were surveyed. The scales used in this survey was CAPS(child and adolescent perfectionism scale), the self-questionnaire and school adjustment scale. The results of this analysis can be summarized as follows. First, there were positive correlation between school adjustment and perfectionism(‘self-oriented’ and ‘socially prescribed’) Second, the moderating effect of self discrepancy was found only in the relationship between self-oriented perfectionism and school adjustment. Third, the moderating effect of age was found between both self-oriented and socially prescribed perfectionism and school adjustment. These results mean that self-discrepancy and age changes the level of school adjustment caused by perfectionism. The implications of these results for subclinical perfectionism treatment program, limitations of this study, and the recommendations for future study were discussed.
