인간의 소외감을 주제로 한 도자 조형연구

Abstract

In contemporary society, it has become important than ever to reflect precisely on egos of social members as they are living without realizing their intrinsic inner aspects due to the feeling of alienation and consequent loss of individual personality. From this perspective, contemporary art needs to present values that are not universal in the society where the value has been universalized and play a role of helping enhance the intrinsic inner aspects independently. Our identity has been segmented as single organization within the body called 'society' and our routine lives have been fragmentized as single component of a machine called 'city', giving rise to more problems psychologically. Alienation can be interpreted as distance been individuals' independent will and community's collective consciousness, and this researcher considers that alienation stems from the standpoint towards other people in interpersonal relationship, negative words uttered from the mouth, and comparison with others. Alienation in contemporary society may imply e distorted self in SNS, suppression of others in interpersonal relationship, reality inducing people to read the countenance of others, and city overshadowed by confusion. The purpose of this study was to recover the self lost by alienation in contemporary society. Human beings are afraid of being disgraced, but are unaware precisely that they are being disregarded by others. We need to enhance our inner aspects by colliding with others, rather than being shaped by others. The works focused on visualizing the question as to where the feeling of alienation came from, and had a preponderance of angular shapes incorporating the philosophy of this researcher that inner aspect of a person should be shaped by himself/herself, not by others. For production, clay was used as primary material after the process of 3D application to the drawing. The focus was placed on expressing facial shape based on plate process, and digging process. Dark and cold metal oil was used to express inner darkness. The art work was created in the form of relief in overall way to increase expressiveness. As auxiliary material, stainless mirror plat was used to increase perfection. The placidity was rendered at initial firing at 850℃ and secondary firing at 1250℃.|현대사회는 사회구성원들이 느끼는 소외감으로 인해 개개인의 개성이 상실되어 본인의 내면의 모습들을 보지도 못한 채 살아가고 있다는 점에서 사회구성원의 자아에 대한 정확한 성찰이 그 어느 때보다 중요한 시기이다. 이러한 관점에서 현대예술은 가치가 보편화된 사회 속에서 보편적이지 않은 가치를 제시하고, 자신이 주체가 되어 본인의 내면의 모습들을 다듬어 가는 역할을 해야 할 것이다. 우리의 정체성은 사회라는 신체 속에 하나의 기관으로 명료하게 분절화 되었고, 우리의 일상은 도시라는 기계 속에서 하나의 부속으로 파편화되어 정신적으로 더 많은 문제점을 야기한다. 소외는 개인의 독립의지와 공동체의 집합의식 사이의 거리감으로 해석될 수 있으며, 본 연구자는 관계 속에서 다른 사람들을 보는 눈과 이를 비롯한 입에서 나오는 부정적인 말과, 타인에 대한 비교의식에 인간소외의 원인이 있는 것으로 생각한다. 현대사회의 모습 중에 소외는 SNS속에서 자신의 왜곡된 모습, 관계 속에서의 타인의 억압과 눈치를 보게 되는 현실, 혼돈의 도시의 모습들로 함축할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 현대 사회의 소외의 현상에서 오는 상실된 자아의 회복방안을 찾는데 있으며, 인간은 원초적이며, 쉽게 자기를 깎여지는 것을 두려워하면서도 정작 타인으로부터 자신의 내면이 깎여지는 것을 정확히 인식하지 못한 채 살아가고 있다. 타인이 나를 만들어가는 것이 아니라 자신이 부딪히면서 자신의 내면을 깎여져야 한다고 본다. 작품의 형태는 소외의 감정이 어디서부터 오는지에 대한 의문을 시각화하는데 주력하였고, 타인으로부터 자신의 내면을 깎이는 것이 아닌 내가 만들어가야 한다는 연구자의 철학을 담아, 각진 형태를 주로 하였다. 제작 방법은 드로잉을 한 뒤에 입체화 시켜 점토를 주되 재료로 사용하고, 판 작업과, 속 파기 작업을 통해 얼굴의 형태를 표현하는 데에 중점을 두었다. 내면의 어두움을 표현하기 위해 어둡고, 차가운 금속 유를 사용하였고, 작품의 전달력을 높이기 위해 작품을 전반적으로 부조형태로 제작하여, 부재료로써 스텐 미러 판을 사용하여 완성도를 더했다. 소성은 초벌 850℃에서 재벌은 1250℃에서 하였다.
