중국과 북한 무역에 근거한 한국과 북한 교역의 증대방안에 관한 연구

Abstract

China's investment on North Korea and economic cooperation is recently becoming the factor of expanding the trade volume between North Korea and China. This means that the economy of North Korea highly depends on the economy of China; this intensifying dependence of the economy of North Korea on the economy of China gives perception in which the economy of North Korea seems to integrate into China. If North Korea falls to the consumption place of Chinese products before establishing the domestic market by producing the product, the economic dependency will be unavoidable. Consequently, the bad circulating structure (the import substitution of consumer goods ⇢ production suspension ⇢ capital accumulation failure ⇢ re-investment suspension, etc.) is deepening instead of forming the virtuous cycle development structure of the economy (production increase through the self capital accumulation ⇢ consumption increase ⇢ investment increase ⇢ capital accumulation); therefore, it is judged that the economic dependency of North Korea on the economy of China would be unavoidable. However, the trade between South Korea and North Korea is closely connected with the political factor so that the trend of the subordination to this is shown. In addition to this, it is expected that the Northeast development policy prosecuted by the Chinese central government, particularly, the active development of the free trade area among international multi-countries of China·Japan·South Korea·North Korea·Russia prosecuted by the Jilin Province, would have an ultimately profound effect on the trade with North Korea. In the free trade agreement between South Korea and China, these factors mean a rapid expansion in the trade relation between North Korea and China; this is also expected to be a main factor influencing on the policy and prosecution of the trade between South Korea and North Korea. Therefore, in this study, the current situation and problems of the trade between South Korea and North Korea occurring from the current trade relation between China and North Korea were investigated; the plan for trade expansion between South Korea and North Korea was explored so it can be found based on the trade precedent between China and North Korea. Additionally, in this study, the characteristics of the three countries' frontier trade of South Korea, China, and North Korea and the mutual influence were grasped; based on this, the plan to expand the trade between South Korea and North Korea also attempted to be suggested. For this, the study was written by referring to several types of literature including similar research papers, governmental documents and reports related to the trade between North Korea and China as well as the trade between South Korea and North Korea, report contents from media sources, academic data and statistic data, etc.
