As a novelist I want to be, I am concerned about what I should write and how I can write. It is not easy for me to find stylistic text. Whenever I write, I should pursuit something new, good or weird. Impressionistic manner can be a good model to look for the best style. Impressionists were so sensitive in their own feeling and the nature which they watched. They always struggled to search the best method to describe the world around them. For the first time they began to be interested in their surrounds. They denied learning from Academy and challenged the artistic tradition. Impressionists focused on the each moment especially when they feel and when they recognize they feel something. They were observing the changing things temporarily. They tried to capture the moment when something is changing rapidly. They conceived that the flow of time gives them alienness. When we desire to look around us, or look inside ourselves, we have to alienate ourselves. James Joyce, the Irish modernistic novelist, gathered many kinds of private alienness related to the world outside. He wrote such a intellectual things that we can't understand his text easily. But he displays the fantastic, weird, and dynamic world of stylistic words to the person who repeats and repeats.
Marcel Proust, the French novelist, tells us about impression. He mentioned that the sense of the flow of time as impression casts us something special about desires or expectation or the truth of life. He describes with his sense on the objects mixed his private experiences.
Actually, change is a result of flow of time. We don't perceive the time which stops. If we are eager to touch the tip of time, we sensitize ourselves. We can only response the point of the time in ourselves. We all have different expressions and methods to depict our responses. That is the reason why creating can not but be such a kind of private thing. A korean novelist, You-joo Han is concentrated on the situation that she dictates herself and her own surroundings that she is writing about and thinking of. It seems that she is ready to write down all things that she is composing, thinking. She knows ,however, she can not write all.
Though Hong-gyui Sohn who has been considered as a realist is disturbed by outside world a lot, he shows he feels something private from the narrative in his novels.
I agree to that all kinds of novels and artistic works can be conceived as a result of impression of the subject. In that point of view, I am anxious to point out that novelists needs to be concerned about impression as the stream of time and the private sense.
