광주광역시 첨단영상콘텐츠 전문인력 교육현황과 개선 방안에 대한 연구

Abstract

This study aims to diagnose current problems in cultivation of professional manpower as the core of the cultural content industry, and to suggest improvement plans to produce the talent, from the perspectives of professionals in the industry, institutions and academic world in Gwangju area, on the assumption that fostering manpower is most important to develop the advanced imaging contents industry in Gwangju city. For this purpose, research problems and issues were extracted using literature study which is based on reports from related institutions and research papers from the academic world, and exploratory study using statistical data from official organizations, various press reports and web data, in order to look into the present state of the advanced imaging contents industry in Gwangju area. Then, the problems extracted were analyzed using FGI(Focus Group Interview). Prior to the study, three research problems were set as follows. First, what is the present state of education for professional manpower in advanced imaging contents in Gwangju city? Second, what is the present state of cultivation of professional manpower in advanced imaging contents in Gwangju city and what are problems? Third, what are problems in education for fostering professional manpower in advanced imaging contents in Gwangju city and improvement plans? All the respondents to FGI answered that there was a lack of professional manpower in companies, the academic world and institutions, but gave different reasons for that. Companies demanded manpower with professionalism and hands-on background, whereas the academic world claimed that there was a need for intervention led by institutions in construction of networks with companies, because there was a shortage of information about manpower that companies needed for manpower development education, and was an absence of a manpower pool. Of these, the necessity for an institution to ask local governments to provide data about necessary manpower, manage creative curriculum, expand practical education, forster professional manpower through professional education and improve working environment was arisen. And this implies it is needed to manage professional manpower continuously by investigating the demands of institutions for manpower on a regular basis and discussing education and employment policies and building up a manpower pool.
