간병인의 간병업무 수행정도 및 중요성에 대한 종합병원 간호사의 인식

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the general hospital nurses' recognition for caregivers' role performance and importance. Methods: The participants were 195 nurses working at three general hospital. Data were collected by a self administered questionnaire from November 4 to 13 2013, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, χ2-test, t-test, and ANOVA with the SPSS 20.0 program. Results: Prevalence rate of general hospital nurses’ awareness about the use of caregiver was 81.5%. Difficulties of nursing activities performed by the work of caregivers was 93.3%. Delegating the task to caregivers because of a lack of time and resources were 87.2%. The nurses’ cognition level of caregivers’ role performance showed 3.59/5.00 point, degree of importance of caregivers’ role 3.81/5.00 point. High cognition of nurses about caregivers’ role performance was helping manage the infection(4.71±0.45), eating aids(4.20±0.73), body clean aids (4.18±0.77), and movement aids(4.16±0.77). High cognition of nurses about importance of caregivers’ role was helping manage the infection(4.71±0.45), movement aids(4.24±0.75), eating aids(4.17±0.76), and body clean aids(4.16±0.73). Conclusion: Nurses need to take an interest in education for enhancing the quality of paid hospital-caregivers and thus advance the quality of nursing care as well as the quality of life for the in-patients.
