성인 비흡연자의 간접흡연 노출과 호흡기질환의 관련성

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for smoking and smoking cessation education by analyzing the relationship between respiratory diseases and respiratory diseases according to exposure to secondhand smoke in adult non – smokers.

Methods: The subjects were 6,457 people who used the data of the National Health and Nutrition Examination for the period from 2014 to 2015, and the analysis method was frequency analysis, percentage, chi - square test, regression analysis

Results: As a result of simple analysis, the variables that showed significant results in respiratory diseases were age, job, education level, residential area, marital status, housing type, subjective health status, BMI, activity, stress level, Regression analysis showed significant differences in age, education level, job, marital status, residence area, housing type, subjective health status, activity, BMI, and stress level. There were significant differences in exposure to home indoor secondhand smoke exposure (ß=0.263, OR:1.301 95%CI:1.026-1.649), indoor public institution secondhand smoke (ß=0.291, OR:1.338 95%CI:1.167-1.533), secondhand smoke exposed in 1 place(ß=0.266, OR:1.305 95%CI:1.126-1.512).

Conclusion: Respiratory diseases were significantly associated with secondhand smoke. Because secondhand smoke is not caused by the will of the person but by the smoking of others, effective implementation of a customized smoking cessation program and changes in the hazard and cognition due to smoking and secondhand smoke are necessary.
