Abstract
This study aims to examine the effects of fun factors on exercise commitment and schol happiness in school sports club activity. The population was selected from schools operating a sports club in G Metropolitan City in 2013 by a convenience sampling method. 40 questionnaires were distributed to 10 schools(400 in total) with 2 schools in each five districts. Finally a total of 391 responses except 9 which was judged untruthful or omitted some information were coded via SPSS 18.0 program and the conclusion was as follows.
First, an analysis of the effects of fun factors sub-factors(daily escape, physical fitness/health, interpersonal relationship, and victory/competition) on cognitive commitment(an exercise commitment sub-factor) showed a positive(+) effect of daily escape(β =.366, t=6.880***), physical fitness/health(β =.192, t=4.061***), interpersonal relationship(β =.117, t=2.469*), and victory/competition(β =.233, t=4.964***). An analysis of the effects of fun factors sub-factors(daily escape, physical fitness/health, interpersonal relationship, and victory/competition) on behavioral commitment(an exercise commitment sub-factor) showed a positive(+) effect of daily escape(β =.239, t=3.094**).
Second, an analysis of the effects of fun factors sub-factors(daily escape, physical fitness/health, interpersonal relationship, and victory/competition) on friend relationship(school happiness sub-factor) showed a positive(+) effect of physical fitness/health(β =.133, t=2.015*), interpersonal relationship(β =.246, t=3.713***), and victory/competition(β =.182, t=2.777**). An analysis of the effects on teacher relationship(school happiness sub-factor) showed a positive(+) effect of daily escape(β =.288, t=3.676***) and physical fitness/health(β =.156, t=2.238*); an analysis of the effects on self-efficiency(school happiness sub-factor) showed a positive(+) effect of daily escape(β =.211, t=2.833**), physical fitness/health(β =.221, t=3.326***), and interpersonal relationship(β =.144, t=2.154*); an analysis of the effects on happy learning(school happiness sub-factor) showed a positive(+) effect of physical fitness/health(β =.365, t=5.768***), and victory/competition(β =.176, t=2.803**); an analysis of the effects on environmental satisfaction(school happiness sub-factor) showed a positive(+) effect of daily escape(β =.272, t=4.015***), physical fitness/health(β =.295, t=4.873***), and interpersonal relationship(β =.149, t=2.457*); and an analysis of the effects on psychological stability(school happiness sub-factor) showed a negative(-) effect of daily escape(β =-.302, t=-3.559***).
