Structural, Optical and Electrical Properties of
CdO:Cu Films Deposited by Spray Pyrolysis

CdO : Cu films were deposited on the glass substrates by spray pyrolysis. Structural, optical and electrical properties of CdO : Cu films have been studied using XRD, SEM, EDS, optical spectra and van der Pauw method. The CdO : Cu films prepared with Cu concentration up to 10.0 at.% were identified as Cu-doped CdO (CdO : Cu) with (111) and (200) preferred orientation and cubic structure. The optical transmission of the CdO : Cu films were about 60 ∼ 90 % in the wavelength range form 500 nm to 2000 nm and decreased with increasing Cu concentration. The optical energy band gaps of the CdO : Cu films decreased with increasing Cu concentration. Electric resistivity, carrier concentration, Hall coefficient and mobility of the CdO : Cu films prepared with Cu concentration of 5.0 at.% were , , , , respectively.
