Abstract
On this research I grasp company's object which plan to employee a person with hearing impaired and improvements after employment to maintain employment security so researches manager's satisfaction and a person's with hearing impaired desire after employment and education of human nature and vocational training before employment and present work condition for them so I hoped to be an indication for improvement of work condition.
And making a manager to decrease prejudice on person with hearing impaired and to understand the disabled so I hoped it would be a contribution that person with hearing impaired adapt himself to society as a member of society not as the disabled.
This research sets up some subjects as below to study about a person's with hearing impaired work satisfaction and a manager's employment satisfaction.
First, how's a person's with hearing impaired work satisfaction state?
1-1) How's a person's with hearing impaired working conditions?
1-2) How's a person's with hearing impaired work satisfaction?
Second, how's a employment satisfaction on a person with hearing impaired from a manager's point of view?
2-1) How's a employment satisfaction on a person who engage in
a person with hearing impaired?
2-2) What's a improvements and requirements of a person who
engage in a person with hearing impaired?
On this research, collecting an object of study, a person with hearing impaired, an employer and a manager found out a company which employeed a person with hearing impaired in Kwangju and acquired a adult person with hearing impaired list employer and manager list by the help of employment statistics of graduate of person with hearing impaired special school in Kwangju, Kwangju Agency of Korea Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled, Kwangju Employment Security Center, Kwangju Agency of Korea of Deaf Association and explained the research's object and visited by myself. The object of subjects is based on the questionnaire from 29 person with hearing impaired who works on and 19 employers and managers on 9 company excluding company which had closed and bankruptted.
The questionnaire was reorganized to adapt to this research's object and content by refering Min-Young Kim(1993), a researcher in public employment security office(2000), Chan-Ki Kang(2001) 's research and was devided into questionnaire for a person with hearing impaired and manager and was composed of 30 inquiries for a person with hearing impaired and 25 inquiries for a manager and presented with a subjective and an objective question.
The procedure of this research is done by :
I visited by myself and gave the questionnaire after I had adjusted meeting by calling company's contact person and sent investigators who can sign language to survey a person with hearing impaired and two investigators visited the employer and manager who employee a person with hearing impaired by himself.
The process of collected data on this research is done by frequency analysis using statistical package SPSS 14.0(Kor).
The conclusion from the research are below.
First, in case of a person's with hearing impaired work satisfaction, choice condition was narrow from choice of a types of business to be compared with the general public. Most respondent were work on the manufacturing industry and a way of looking for job was not various just choose a job by friends or seniors and juniors. Also reason of defections by overwork and holiday work was high so work time and holiday is important factor on holding down a job. The overall of work satisfaction was good and had a positive mind about manger's concern, safety facilities, welfare facilities and consult with manager when in trouble. On the one hand experience on vocational training was helpful to work so they need educational system before a job and vocational training.
Second, managers were satisfied mostly on a person's with hearing impaired employment and had a extra plan to employee them. They had a positive mind on communications, refered a institution and a special school for employment and satisfied with skill of work.
Employer and manager who employee a person with hearing impaired require a high school graduate and making a good relation with a manager and a fellow and linguistic ability. To develop making a good relation and linguistic ability requires person's with hearing impaired effort by oneself and effective seat arrangement and a regular counsel and manager or employer's continuous concern and elevation on conversation by writing will lead to more good work activity. Also manager said that one´s course counsel and vocational training must be proceeded before employment. Person with hearing impaired can come up with simple work and manufacturing work only mans that more various and systemic vocational training needs seriously.
