Anyone at puberty has a secondary sex character. At this time, the larynx grows rapidly in comparison with other bodily parts and the length of the larynx grows wider and longer. So, at that period, voices change suddenly.
Sudden physical change causes students to have psychological nervous status and has a negative impact on singing which has the greatest weight in music education, which hinders natural instruction.
Singing education is very important in music education at school because singing is one of music education activities that can be easily provided at any environment and for anyone.
This study aims to analyse problems occurring in the process of singing instruction given to the students at puberty and present countermeasures with which teachers and students understand puberty properly and deal with it efficiently.
First, this study discusses what the meaning and objectives of singing education are and basic four components of singing ( position, respiration, vocalization and resonance ) based on references.
Second, it examines the periods of puberty and symptoms, and exactly identifies changes in the vocal cord and transliteration.
Third, it discusses teaching plans on singing education and how to vocalize and presents more specific and practical methods.
It is suggested that when efficient singing instruction is given to students at puberty with psychological nervousness to induce musical interest and lead them to actively participate in the class, they can overcome this period pleasantly.
Therefore, this study is to present how to teach songs which is the most suitable for the students at puberty by reflecting their physical, mental and musical features in music education.
