정보통신 윤리의식의 실태 분석 및 개선 방안

정보통신윤리 광주광역시 중학교 Information and Communication Ethics awareness Gwangju
The purpose of this study was to examine the information ethics of teenagers, to grasp problems with it, and ultimately to explore how to foster their information ethics. The subjects in this study were regular and business middle school students in Gwangju, on whom a survey was conducted. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS program, and the findings of the study were as follows:
First, as for the outlook of the teenagers on Information Communication and its environments, they went online mainly at home, and the largest percentage of them spent less than one or two hours on the Internet a day. The Internet was most widely used to play games, and the students who had ever logged onto indecent websites outnumbered those who hadn't. A great number of them found it necessary to log onto indecent sites to satisfy their own sexual curiosity and get rid of stress, and many had ever abused others on the Internet. The largest percentage of the students believed it's not ethically advisable to abuse others over the Internet without giving one's name.
Second, concerning the information ethics of the adolescents, an exposure and illegal use of personal information were viewed as the most serious dysfunction of information-oriented society. They didn't felt Netiquette was observed well, and perceived that there was a serious problem with online communication language. Their self-esteem was good in association with the use of the Internet, but they didn't have a good sense of responsibility and justice.
Third, regarding the establishment of information ethics, the students who had ever received information ethics education was smaller in number than those who hadn't, and they were highly aware of the necessity of that education. They believed that the education should be conducted in school once a month. The primary focus of information ethics education should be placed on the prevention of a misuse or abuse of personal information, and Netiquette education was most stressed as a way to foster the information ethics of Internet users.
