初等學校 漢文科 敎育課程 및 敎材의 模型 設計

- This study aims at urgently suggesting that one should make a curriculum for the Chinese unit and establish its importance as a subject which is preferred as one of 'discretionary activities', and further include it among regular subjects in elementary schools, since even if there are demands for Chinese education, any unified curriculum for the Chinese unit which can be a basic teaching guide for elementary schools and the current teachers has not been made yet.
In Chapter Ⅰ, the meaning, purpose and methodologies of the study are introduced.
In Chapter Ⅱ, the realities of elementary Chinese education are reviewed. In addition, the researcher reviewed and analysed the previous studies' discussions about the curriculum of elementary Chinese characters·sentences, and under the precondition that elementary Chinese education should be 'the education which can make students aware of the value of human(spirit)', the researcher set a basic direction of elementary Chinese education, and suggested a model of a curriculum for elementary Chinese education as the following.
First, the researcher suggested that the characteristic and purpose of elementary Chinese education is making student form active language-life and good living habits through Chinese education, and form the sound values through human(spirit) education, and succeed and develop the Korean traditional culture.
Second, As the contents of elementary Chinese education, the researcher suggested that the contents should accept middle schools' Chinese textbook contents structure which is divided into 3 units - Chinese characters·Chinese words·Chinese sentences, so it can be linked with middle schools' Chinese education, and also it should have its own characteristic as an independent subject.
In Chapter Ⅲ, the researcher surveyed authorized books for the Chinese textbook in each city·province. As a result it was found that 6 kinds of authorized Chinese character books were published after the 6th curriculum was announced, and 36 kinds of authorized Chinese character books were published, so currently 38 kinds of authorized Chinese character books were published in total in each city·province. Not small number of authorized Chinese character books were published for elementary Chinese education, but their utilized rates were so low that there needs systematical complementary measures such as free support for authorized Chinese character books by the government.
On the other hand, in 'Chapter Ⅲ, 2, Textbook model for elementary Chinese unit', a textbook model for elementary Chinese unit was suggested according to the design introduced in Chapter Ⅲ, 2. Curriculum model for elementary Chinese unit, 4) Contents of Chinese education, (3) Teaching and learning contents by each grade·area'
Like the above, the researcher designed a curriculum model and a textbook model for elementary Chinese unit, for helping elementary Chinese education to play its role well, based on the researcher's own elementary Chinese teaching experience. It is expected that further studies concerning this issue continues to be conducted, so that through developing a Chinese curriculum by national-level project, appropriate for elementary level and also through developing textbooks according the curriculum, Chinese education can be activated in 'discretionary activities' time and further Chinese can be included among regular subjects.
