중학생의 음악 사교육 경험과 음악 흥미도에 관한 연구

- This study is on middle school students private educational experiences and their interest in music.
It compares different genders and the age at which they started their education in music.
This study claims that one's educational background in music class.
The questions that this study tries to answer are follows:
A. Is one's interest in music influenced by private music education?
B. Is interest in music influenced by gender?
C. Does the age at which students first start studying music have an impact on their interest in music later in life?
For this study, 142 male middle schools from Dong-gu, Gwang-ju and 124 female middle school students from Moo-An were surveyed.
This study was first conducted in May, 2006.
We used SPSS version 12.00, which is a statistical analysis program to analyze private educational experience the difference between male and female interest in music.
Post hoc multiple comparison tests were analyzed using Turkey's multiple range test.
As such, we should take heed of the following findings.
A. A person who experienced private education is more interested in music than a person has no such experience.
Therefore music education needs private education.
B. Girls who experienced private education are more interested in music than boys who experienced private education.
Therefore when teachers teach students, they haveto consider gender differences, as such differences may translate into class interest.
C. A person who has learned music before the age of 7 is more interested in it than someone who learned after the age of 8.
