체조선수들의 경쟁불안이 심리상태에 미치는 영향

Abstract
This study analyzes anxiety factors of competition state and mental state before game with gymnastic athletes in middle and high schools, traces relationship between anxiety and mental state and aims to provide basic materials to keep their optimum mental state and improve their performance.To accomplish these research goals, this study selected 102 athletes who were registered at the Korean Gymnastics Association as of April 2006 and are participating in gymnastics game as population and obtained the following conclusions.
First, as a result of analyzing competition anxiety according to general characteristics, physical anxiety was higher in woman than in man and self-confidence was higher in man.Self-confidence according to education was higher in high school students than in middle school students.Cognitive and physical anxiety according to competition ability was highest in lower group and self-confidence was highest in upper group.
Second, as a result of analyzing mental states according to general characteristics, level of motivation and control of arousal were higher in high school students than in middle school students.Level of motivation and control of arousal according to education were higher in high school students than in middle school students.Level of motivation and control of arousal according to competition ability were highest in upper group and tension was highest in lower group.
Third, as a result of analyzing influence of competition anxiety on mental state, cognitive and physical anxiety and self-confidence showed significant difference from mental states.Factors having a significant influence on competition anxiety among sub-factors of mental state include level of motivation, control of arousal and tension and as a result of testing factors of competition anxiety affecting the level of motivation, cognitive anxiety and self-confidence factors have a significant influence and as a result of testing factors of competition anxiety affecting control of arousal, there are significant influence on cognitive anxiety and self-confidence factors and as a result of testing competition anxiety affecting tension, physical anxiety and self-confidence factors have a signficant influence.
