Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate whether introducing the concept of the field of Circle and Measurement and developing procedure in current middle school textbook have appropriate vertical connection.
For this purpose, I found out the meaning of educational connection and principle of organization, and to guarantee validity, I conducted a survey on 11 people of estimation group about the field of Circle and Measurement based on the standard model. In addition, I compared three textbook about the developing procedure of the field of Circle and Measurement, introduction part of large chapter, and introduction part of small chapter in which differences was found.
Through this study, I could learn that we can reduce the ratio of gap depending on how to introduce new concepts and contents on introductory part of a chapter. I think that we need to avoid useless repetitions and prevent severe gap, and the effective improvement on education and consistent study of educational procedure and format of textbook about the field of Circle and Measurement should be executed.
