The purpose of this study is to grasp basic data aiming at the desirably sex education, by surveying the sexual awareness(an interest in a sex, dating, sexual-morality education, and sex education) of middle-school girls.
Aiming at the above goal, it carried out the literature research and surveyed, and in terms of the study targets, it conducted questionnaire research by selecting 260 middle-school girls. Given summing up the results, those are as follows.
First, it was shown that the target, from whom gender knowledge is acquired, is in order of a teacher in charge and a professional lecturer and that the counsellor for gender matter is mainly a friend. An interest in gender was high, but it was analyzed that there is no place for the profound and right counselling.
Second, a place of being gotten in touch with unsavory material was shown to be in order of self's house(28%), a friend's house(10%). As for sexual relations before marriage, students with nearly 40% answered "to be possible". As for the dating, it was shown to be 60.4% for students who answered "for agreement". In terms of the dating, it was shown to be 45.8% for associating with and for having had experience of associating with and 54.2% for non-dater.
Third, as for the influence of dating on school works, it was 21.1% for "having no influence", and 33.5% for "having influence". As for the sexual morality before marriage, it was shown to be '9.2% for only women's obligation to keep,' 3.1% for only men's obligation to keep,' and '78.9% for bilateral obligation to keep.'
Aiming to seek for a guidance plan for the more discriminately and desirably sex education, it discussed about the survey results.
In the survey of the realities, the sex education of a school was shown to be unsatisfactory for many students. Accordingly, it intends to assert that the sex-education direction of a school, which is required by students, needs to be attained as follows.
In terms of a sex-education type being hoped by students, they prefer to be educated by using specific time. Also, a professional lecturer, who received the special education, is being required. Consequently, it needs to be attained the fully sex education, by allowing sex education to be an independent course in the curriculum.
And, a sex-education classroom needs to be operated so that a home (parents) and a school can be mutually connected and directed, by arranging a parents school for sex education.
It needs to be developed and supplied textbooks, brochures, mass-media programs, and internet-education materials that can offer the rightly sexual knowledge. Through educating with these materials, it needs to proceed with further making soundly sexual culture of society so that female students can do desirable dating.
