Abstract
The objectives of this study was to investigate the effect of movement education model of Rudolf von Laban on education of children.
First, in an attempt to provide the effect of movement education on education of children, the introduction of movement education to Korean education system was inclusively investigate. Second, there was an attempt to objectively explain the effect of movement education on education of children both America and England. Third, a transition of education of the children after the introduction of movement education model of Laban was traced thoroughly. In the end, to the effect of movement education model on education of children was minutely argued.
The most important effects of movement theory on education of children was establishment of "fact-finding" tradition. It is also transformed the body structure of education of children by reshaping the curriculum through the concept of body awareness, space awareness, effort and relationship. Moreover, it played a significant role on emphasis "team teaching" spirits.
Movement education which was provided a basis for reformed education of children has induced great changes on teaching methods and contents of movement curriculum of children in Korea. Consequently, this results induced to the advanced comprehension of human interaction and elevated self-consciousness in human movement contexts.
