Abstract
This study aims at investigating the effect of 30 married women's participation in dance sport on the change of girth by each body part, the change of subcutaneous fatby each body part and body fat rate between the time before the participation and the time 12 weeks after their practicing dance sport.
By way of exercise, rumba, cha cha cha and jive have been practiced for 90 minutes per each 3 times a week.
As the result of the study, exercise of dance sport for 12 weeks shows a meaningful result that such exercise made the weight of participants lessen in comparison with their participation. (P<.001)
The change of girth of each body part except thigh shows that the exercise is effective on such decrease.
The change of thickness of subcutaneous fat except that of calves and the popliteal region shows that the exercise is effective on such decrease.
It appears that the body fat rate has been decreased after participating in the exercise. (P<.001)
Therefore, the result of this study shows that regular exercise of dance sport is effective on the changes.
