Effects of Oganizational Culture and Job Stress of Job Satisfaction among Korea Coast Guard

This research is designed to provide basic data for efficient organization management and improvement of job by investigating effects of organizational culture and job stress of korea coast guard on job satisfaction. This survey was conducted 408 maritime policemen who worked in mokpo area from Mar. 30, 2012 to Apr. 15, 2012
Data collected were analysed as frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, regression analysis by SPSS(version. 17.0)

1. Job satisfaction is average 3.45point(±1.22), motivation is average 3.63 point(±1.14) which is the highest point in sub factors. job stress is average 2.79point(±1.25).

2. There is significant difference in job satisfaction by professional and healthy behavioral characteristics, according to gender, academic background, martial status, monthly income, position, appointment method, whether smoke or not, exercise, whether eat morning meal or not, physical condition, chronic diseases.

3. Significantly effective factors on Job satisfaction are orgarnizational culture, job stress, position, whether smoke or not which explain 34.7% of that.

The results showed organizational culture and job stress have significant impact on job satisfaction. To improvement of job satisfaction in korea coast guard continuously develops health promotion program, nonsmoking program, stress relieving program that help to efficient management in organizational culture and job stress.
