사회기술훈련이 만성정신분열병 환자의 사회생활기술, 대인관계와 자기주장에 미치는 효과

Abstract
This study conducted social skill training with chronic schizophrenics and verified its effects on social skills, assertiveness, and interpersonal relationship.
Period of research was from May 25 to September, 2005. Subjects of research were 53 chronic schizophrenics between 23 and 50 years old hospitalized in rehabilitation ward of N National Hospital at Naju-city, Jeonnam and 27 patients were assigned to experimental group and 26 to control group. Experimental group was divided into three groups and had social skill training for 90 min, a session, twice a week for 5 weeks.
Results of this study are summarized as follows.
1. The first hypothesis that "Experimental group participating in social skill training will obtain higher social skill scores than control group not participating in the training." was supported ( t= - 6.663, p 0.000).
2. The second hypothesis that "Experimental group participating in social skill training will obtain higher interpersonal relationship scores than control group not participating in the training." was not supported (t= 0.525, p= 0.604).
3.The third hypothesis that "Experimental group participating in social skill training will obtain higher assertiveness scores than control group not participating in the training." was supported (t=-2.957, p= 0.007).
It was considered from the above research results that social skill training enhanced social life skills, personal relationship and self-assertions of chronic schizophrenics in hospital and improved their abilities to solve and cope with their own problems. Thus it can be effective program in the side of psycho social rehabilitation.
With the above research results, it makes the following suggestions for future and more developed research.
1. For evaluation of continuous effects of social skill training program, follow-upresearch of this program is needed as well as research immediately after program.
2.Social skill training program was performed within hospital environment with hospitalized patients, but its execution and evaluation in community where future subjects of the program live are required.
3. Repeated researches of comparing correlations among age, education, job, duration of disease, frequency of relapse, age of first attack, support of families and effects of social skill training program are suggested.
