The beauty contest is an opportunity to show the creative design of the beauty people and the original artistic skill, and it is the opportunity to enhance the technical competence. The purpose of this study is to investigate the participants of the national beauty contest and to use them as the basic data for the advancement of the beauty contest in Republic of Korea. In addition, to provide systematic beauty contest management, I wanted to provide basic data that will enable participants to come up with a practical and effective beauty contest reflecting their opinions. To achieve the purpose of this research, the research was carried out in parallel with the theoretical studies and the empirical methods related to the awareness and satisfaction of the beauty contest participants. For the empirical study, we analyzed the factors of the evaluation of the beauty contest and the universal recognition, satisfaction and demographic data of the contest. The results of the study are as follows.

First, participants in the beauty contest showed the highest number of women aged 16 to 20, and most of them had less than one year of beauty experience and 1-2 beauty certification qualifications.
Second, participants who had less than three years of experience in cosmetics and three or more qualifications had positive perception and satisfaction with the competition.
Third, there was no statistically significant effect on participation motivation according to age, and there was a statistically significant difference in motivation for participating in cosmetic career, beauty related qualification, and beauty competition. The motivation for participating in the contest is that the recommendation of the beauty academy teacher is the highest, so it can be interpreted that the participant has a lot of influences from the surrounding people rather than preparing themselves.
Based on the results of this study, to increase the participation of professional beauty contest and raise the awareness, it is necessary to raise the professionalism so as to have diverse experiences on beauty and to create an environment that can acquire diverse beauty and related qualifications, If encouraged, the participation rate of the national beauty contest will increase, and the quality of the competition and the satisfaction of the contestants of the contestants can be improved.
