Abstract

The Moderated Mediating Effect of Parental Calling in the Relationship between Intolerance of Uncertainty, Parenting Anxiety and Parental Burnout Jih Da Som Advisor : Prof. Oh, Ji Hyun, Ph.D. Departmaent of Counseling Psychology, Graduate School of Chosun University This study examined the moderated mediating effect of parental calling in the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty, parenting anxiety and parental burnout. The survey was conducted on 300 mothers raising children aged 3-5 years, consisting of a lack of patience for uncertainty, parenting anxiety, parental burnout, and parental calling measures. The data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 and SPSS Process Macro 4.1, and the results of the study are as follows. First, parenting anxiety was partially mediated in the relationship between lack of patience with uncertainty and parental burnout. Second, parental calling showed a moderating effect in the relationship between parenting anxiety and parental burnout. Third, the controlled mediating effect of parental calling was verified in the relationship between lack of patience with uncertainty, parenting anxiety, and parental burnout. Based on the above results, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
