Abstract: 중·고등학교의 기하와 벡터 교과과정은 공간 지각력을 향상하고 공간에 대한 아이디어와 탐구 결과를 구체적으로 표현할 수 있는 기초를 제공하며 기하 문제를 대수적인 방법으로 해결할 수 있는 능력을 배양할 수 있도록 도와준다. 본 논문에서는 중·고등학교에서 배우는 기하와 벡터의 내용이 실제 생활에서 나타나는 문제를 얼마나 효과적으로 해결할 수 있으며 그 한계는 무엇인가를 구체적인 문제를 해결해 가는 과정을 통해 알아봄으로써 중·고등학교 기하와 벡터 교과내용의 구성과 수업에 주는 시사점을 생각해 보고 자 한다.; The curriculum of geometry in the middle and high school helps students to improve their spatial intuition and provide some basic skills to express their mathematical ideas. Moreover, it enables students to solve given geometric problems through relatively more manageable algebraic techniques. The aim of this paper is an attempt to investigate how much geometric facts in the middle and high school help us to solve practical geometric problems. In particular, we want to solve the geometric shape of the solid obtained by revolving a cube about the diagonal axis. During this process, we can clearly figure out what geometric knowledge we need more. We hope that this paper gives some hints and limitations about the relevant curriculum of geometry in the middle and high school in the future.</description>

Abstract: 2016학년 광주광역시 소재 C대학교 이공계 전체 신입생을 대상으로 기초학력진단테스트를 실시하여 기준점수를 통과하지 못한 학생들을 대상으로 대학 교양수학(미분적분학, 선형대수학)을 수강하기 전 기초수학과목을 이수하도록 하였다. 이 논문은 2016학년 2학기 선형대수를 수강한 몇 개 분반을 대상으로 추적 조사하여 기초테스트를 통과하고 연계되는 과목들을 수강한 학생들과 그렇지 못한 학생들 사이의 학업성취도를 비교 분석해 보았다.; We carried out mathematics diagnostic test for all first year natural sciences and engineering students at C university in Gwangju in 2016. With those students who had not passed the grading standard, we made the students complete a course in basic mathematics before taking mathematics Courses in Liberal Education(Pre Calculus, Linear Algebra). This paper compared and analyzed the academic achievement of the students who took Linear Algebra in 2nd semester in 2016 and had passed the mathematics diagnostic test and ones who had not.</description>

Abstract: This study emphasizes the need to construct global citizenship society which has had some uncertain prospects yet, and focuses on education as a kind of the mechanism for it. While there are so many flows or influences in opposition to conflicting globalization and these bring controversial points, I have global citizenship education stress as the way of solving problems. In this context, I try to specifically investigate some roles of global citizenship and I can suggest three themes of global citizenship education and a blueprint for it, which contains formal, nonformal, informal education system and children-youth and adults education system. Granting it to be imperfect and needed some continuous complement, I expect this study to be a new starting point for lifelong educational approach to global citizenship education for all.</description>

Abstract: Paulo Freire emphasized the importance of developing as an independent learner by taking critical views through literacy class participation which may help enhance an individual’s thinking and action process. The purpose of this study is to suggest a new direction in literacy class that develops an individual learner’s self-reflective and independent thinking ability by reconstructing the contents of the literacy class which takes Freire’s perspectives on literacy education into account. The findings will serve as the first step in addressing the limitations of accredited literacy education, which tends to focus on functional education. In addition, this study provides a foundation that help literacy education learners develop independent and critical skills.</description>
