Non-linear Finite Element Analysis and Performance Evaluation of Concrete and Cement Composite Structures Kim Hyo Ju Advisor : Prof. Cho Chang-Geun, Ph.D. Department of Architectural Engineering, Graduate School of Chosun University In this study, an non-uniform facade design was proposed using concrete and fiber-reinforced cement composites for non-uniform buildings. Prior to the study, an interpretive study was conducted on the experiments of existing studies to understand the nonlinear behavior of concrete. The reliability of structural analysis was secured through interpretive study. Structural analysis was intended to evaluate the analysis and performance using nonlinear finite element analysis as part of understanding the nonlinear behavior of materials. In addition, we intend to solve the problem of structural stability of non-uniform design and seismic strengthening, and as part of improving aesthetic factors, non-uniform design and seismic strengthening through structural analysis. Recently, buildings have been unstructured according to the shape and conditions of the building. Non-uniform structures have unique characteristics that are different from existing structural structures. In order to implement Non-uniform, the selection of suitable materials and precise structural analysis are required. In particular, fiber-reinforced cement composites that improve the shortcomings of general concrete are widely used to realize non-uniform. Fiber-reinforced cement composites have higher tensile strength, ductility, and toughness than general concrete. If the mechanical behavior of these materials is not taken into account, there is a risk that the structure will be over-designed. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the nonlinear behavior of each material when analyzing the structure. Prior to the progress of this study, an interpretive study was conducted on the experiment of the multi steel tube unit seismic strengthening system, which was an existing study, to prove the reliability of the nonlinear finite element analysis program. The interpretive study performed nonlinear finite element analysis and nonlinear static analysis. Based on this, the experimental results and interpretation results were compared. The load-displacement relationship, crack, and fracture patterns of the experiment and analysis were compared, and the reliability of the structural analysis was verified. In this study, an non-uniform facade design was proposed in consideration of three aspects: structure, function, and beauty. The proposed non-uniform facade design secured a unique non-uniform shape and an open design, and applied high-strength concrete and high-performance fiber-reinforced cement composites to have excellent moldability. In order to evaluate the structural performance of the non-uniform facade design proposed in this study, nonlinear finite element analysis and nonlinear static analysis were conducted based on verified interpretive studies. As a result of the analysis, the proposed non-uniform facade design showed an increase in stiffness, strength, and ductility, resulting in an increase in overall strength. It was judged that it exhibited excellent performance in seismic strengthening. However, as stress is concentrated on the junction between the reinforcement and the existing frame and cracks occur, it is considered necessary to study this.
