치의학교육에서 예비의료인의 전문직업성 고취를 위한 창의성 교육에 대한 인식 연구

Abstract

실제 진료 현장에서 의료인의 임상적 의사결정은 환자 개개인의 상황에 따라 다양한 사실적·가치적 판단이 상호 교차하게 되면서, 지속적인 문제해결역량이 요구된다. 즉, 이러한 복잡한 맥락 속에서 의료인은 환자를 위한 최선의 진료에 있어 실천에서의 제약이 따르고, 이러한 제약을 해결하기 위해 문제해결역량을 키우기 위한 창의성이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 직무윤리와 전문직업성을 갖추어야 하는 예비의료인을 양성하는 치의학교육에서 창의성 교육에 대한 인식을 살펴보고, 그 필요성에 대하여 논의하고자 하였다.

본 연구는 전라권 소재 모 치과대학 치의학과에 재학 중인 1학년과 4학년을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 진행하였다. 문헌 연구를 통해 설문지 초안을 작성한 후, 치의학교육 전공 영역의 두 명의 교수자와 대학에 재직 중인 두 명의 교육학 박사의 감수를 통해 내용의 신뢰도와 전문가 타당도를 확보하였다. 이것을 바탕으로 총 6개 영역 34문항의 온라인 형태 설문지를 개발하여, 연구의 목적을 설명하고 연구 참여에 동의하는 경우에 한하여 설문을 진행하였다. 폐쇄형 문항에 대하여서는 빈도와 백분율을 산출하여 분석하였고, 개방형 문항에 대해서는 워드클라우드 프로그램을 이용하여 응답 내용을 분석하였다.

분석 결과, 응답자의 60% 이상에서 창의성은 길러질 수 있으며, 사회문화적 환경적 요소 등의 영향을 받는다고 응답하였다. 그러나 창의성에 대하여 연상되는 생각에 대한 개방형 질문에서는 ‘천재, 예술, 영감’의 중심어를 반복적으로 기입하였다. 창의성 교육의 필요성에 대하여서는 절반 이상에서 그렇다는 긍정적인 답변을 하였다. 반면 치과대학에서 창의성 계발이 이루어지고 있는 실태와 관련하여서는 대부분의 문항에서 부정적인 답변을 하였다. 그리고 치과대학 교육과 창의성 영역 문항에서는 ‘실험·실습·발표 등 프로젝트’와 ‘보고서 제출’의 평가 방식이 창의성 발휘에 가장 큰 도움이 되어, 대학 수업에서 창의성 향상을 촉진하기 위해 가장 먼저 평가 방식의 개선이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 또한 대학 생활에서 창의성 향상에 도움이 되는 활동에 대한 응답률이 높은 순위 세 가지로 ‘문화생활, 독서, 여행’이라고 답하였다. 치과대학에서의 창의성 교육에 장애가 되는 요인 문항의 중복 선택에서 ‘교수자의 전통적 수업 방식, 수업시수 과다, 학습자의 전통적 수업에 익숙함, 창의성 발현을 촉진하는 프로그램 부족’에서 절반에 가까운 높은 응답률을 보였다.

본 연구에서는 치의학교육에서 예비의료인의 전문직업성 고취를 위해 창의성 교육에 대한 인식을 조사하여, 그 필요성을 확인하였다. 따라서 미래사회를 위한 창의적 인재를 양성하기 위해 평가 방식의 개선, 교수자의 교수법을 향상시킬 수 있는 교수법 프로그램의 개발 및 창의성을 증진시킬 수 있는 다양한 프로그램의 마련 등 구체적이고 체계적인 치의학교육 환경이 마련되어야 할 것이다.|Clinical decision in the actual treatment field requires continuous problem-solving ability because judgments of various facts and values intersect with each other according to each patient's situation. In other words, medical professionals are subject to realistic limitations in providing the best treatment for patients, and creativity is needed continuously to develop problem-solving capabilities for solving these difficulties. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the students' perceptions of creativity education in dental education and to discuss the necessity of creativity education. This study conducted a self-report questionnaire targeting first-year and fourth-year students majoring in dentistry at college of dentistry located in Jeollanam-do. Through the literature study, it was selected the contents of questionnaire to investigate the dental students' perceptions of creativity education for promoting the professionalism, and conducted an online questionnaire with a total of 34 questions in 6 areas. For closed-type questions, frequency and percentage were calculated and analyzed, and for open-ended questions, the response content was analyzed using the word cloud program. As a result, more than 60% of the respondents answered that creativity can be cultivated and that it is affected by socio-cultural and environmental factors. Regarding the need for creativity education, more than half answered positively. On the other hand, most of the questions answered negatively regarding the status of creativity enlightenment in dental college. In the questions related to dental education curriculum and creativity, the evaluation methods of ‘projects such as experiments, practice, and presentations' and 'reports submission' are the most helpful in demonstrating creativity. And in order to promote the creativity development, they answered that the evaluation method should be improved first. In the duplicate choices of questions on factors that disturb creativity education, they showed a high response rate of almost half in 'the teacher's traditional teaching method, excessive number of class hours, learners' familiarity with traditional teaching, and lack of programs that promote creativity. This study investigated the perception of students majoring in dentistry on the creativity education for promoting the professionalism of dentist, and confirmed its necessity. Therefore, in order to train creative human resources for the future society, it should be prepared a specific and systematic dental education environment, such as improvement of evaluation methods, development of the program that can improve the teaching method of instructors, and preparation of various programs that can enhance creativity.
