Abstract
This study examined the achievement, satisfaction and interest of an English grammar class based on flipped learning in order to find out the effect of flipped learning in English grammar class. To achieve the research purpose, a grammar pre-test was conducted among seven boys and girls in the first grade of middle school in Seo-gu, Gwangju before the flipped classes started and a grammar post-test was conducted after the classes. Also, after flipped classes, the satisfaction and interest of the learners on the flipped learning grammar class were surveyed.
To find out how flipped learning affects in the English grammar achievement, grammar pre and post-test results were analyzed using Paired sample t-test. The mean scores of post-test were higher than that of pre-test so, flipped learning had a little effect on grammar achievement. Survey and in-depth interviews were conducted to find out the satisfaction and interest in flipped learning grammar classes.

The survey of satisfaction was subdivided into 4 items : attention, content relevance, interaction, and convenience. Generally, the learners responded positively to the four items, indicating that they were satisfied with the flipped learning class.
Regarding interest, the survey was divided into the interest in the regular English class and that of the flipped learning class. The survey answers were analyzed according mean, standard deviation, frequency, and percentage using descriptive statistics. As a result the interest in flipped learning class was higher than that of the regular English class. Although the learners' interest in English was rather low, it can be concluded that applying flipped learning in English classes make their interests improve, let them have fun and want to continue studying English.
In the in-depth interview, the learners said that they felt more familiar with the teachers during the flipped learning classes, they became closer with other students and improved their interest in English. From the interview answers, it could be inferred that the learners changed their perception positively in terms of teacher and classmate interaction after the flip learning classes.
