ABSTRACT

The Actual States of the Music Education for the Middle Schools for the Hearing Impaired and Music Activity of the Students.

This study is the research of actual condition for condition about music course and music activity of student from the middle school for hearing impairment.
This researcher feel necessity to do this study because existing studies are not enough to describe how music class is going and what are music activity or demand of student from the middle school for hearing impairment.
Therefore, the subject of study is determining condition of music course and music activity of the middle school for hearing impairment. This researcher wants to develop necessary music class for student with finding better music professor and learning method.
Survey papers from 20 teachers and 143 students of hearing impairment from this nation, who are enable to complete survey, are research methods to do this survey.
Research categories are 3 categories, which are condition of music course from the middle school for hearing impairment, problem and improvement of music class for hearing impairment, and condition of music activity by students of hearing impairment.
First, from the condition of music course from middle school for hearing impairment, environment of music classroom is insufficient, and instruments and equipments are not enough. Moreover, common fundamental education process for the public has inappropriate sections for students of hearing impairment. Textbook is not inappropriate, too.
Second, about problem and improvement of music class from the middle school for hearing impairment, section of listening and music creation from area of music activity is not sufficiently handling. Necessity for balancing each section is required, and four sections should be managed in integrating way. Also, professionality of teacher must be increased, and section of communication needs to be developed. Self development by training and development of education process that reflects the characteristics of hearing impairment are solutions for this.
Third, after this researcher determines condition of music activity from students of hearing impairment, most of students like the music, and they are interesting about music. However, From the section of practice of the music, they have less experience about concert than that of normal student. An opportunity to participate in the concert needs to be provided. Also, students like to sing a song. Teachers should research about topic of singing for the student because they have to provide opportunity of positive participation for music class.
By these factors, this researcher will develop education process and textbook that reflect characteristics of student of hearing impairment. This researcher will approach to listening and music creation, which are not sufficiently handling in the music class, with creative methods. This researcher will provide educational opportunity about various music activities to students of hearing impairment.
