중학교 미술교과와 국사교과를 통합한 새로운 미술교육 프로그램

Abstract
우리나라 교육은 학습자의 지·덕·체가 고루 발달한 전인을 양성하는 것을 교육의 목표로 두고 있지만, 지금까지의 수업방식은 지식과목 위주에 치우쳐 있음은 물론, 각각의 과목이 연계성이 결여된 채 분리된 퍼즐조각처럼 그 범주 안에서만 지식으로써 존재한다.
이러한 대표적 수업형태인 분과주의 교육은 수업의 체계성과 깊이를 높이는 장점이 있는 반면, 서로 다른 지식들을 여러 맥락에 적용하여 새롭게 활용하는 능력을 기르는 데는 다소 부족하다 할 수 있다. 그래서 본연구자는 기존의 수업방식에 통합교육을 적용하여 학습자 안에서 활동하는 유동적 지식, 유의미한 지식추구를 목표로 국사와 미술과목의 통합을 모색했다.
미술교과와 국사교과의 통합은 그 당시 시대상황을 이해함은 물론 작품의 제작과정과 우리민족의 조형의식과 민족의식을 이해하며 고양시키는 통합적사고력을 기르게 될 것이다. 특히 미술사교육은 학습자에게 전통문화의 이해와 새로운 문화에 대한 가치 발견을 통해 미술사를 애호 할 수 있는 능력을 길러준다. 이런 점은 역사교육 즉, 국사교과의 목적이기도 하다. 미술사를 이해한다는 것은 예술가의 삶과 더불어 시대의 사회적, 문화적, 역사적 관계를 이해한다는 것이기에 국사의 목적과 그 뜻을 같이 한다 .
본 연구에서는 국사교과 와 미술교과의 도판을 미술의 4가지분야(회화/공예/ 서예/ 조소)로 분류하여 미술교과내용(그 당시 사회의 시각 문화적 특성을 이해·체험·반영하는 미적체험수업과 머릿속의 개념을 시각화, 공간화 시켜 구체화할 수 있는 미술표현수업, 비평적 사고를 발전시키는 미술감상수업)에 적용하여 미술과 국사의 통합프로그램으로 각각 제시한다.|The goal of Korean education is to raise up students as the whole person with knowledge, virtue and physical education. However, today the teaching method shows the ideologically biased education focused only on the transmission of knowledge. An individual course is not connected with other subjects, but exists only in the limited category of knowledge.
The sectional education which is the representative teaching method has the merits to teach systematically, but it lacks the connection with different knowledges in various fields, and so it exposes the problem to raise up the new and integrated ability with other areas. Thus the researcher has tried to unify Korean history with Fine arts in order for the students to pursuit after more flexible and meaningful knowledge by applying the integrated teaching method to the existing one.
The integration of Fine arts and Korean history will bring students the integrated way of thinking to understand and elevate the situation of those days, the manufacturing process of the artifact, and the plastic arts and national consciousness of our people. Especially the education of Fine arts history will supply the students with the ability to understand Fine arts history through finding the value of new culture, still more understanding of the traditional culture. This aspect becomes the very goal of Korean history education as a subject. As the understanding of Fine arts history brings the understanding of the social, cultural, and historical relationship together with the life of artists, so it has the same goal with Korean history.
This study suggests the integrated program of Fine arts and Korean history
by classifying their illustration into 4 areas of Fine arts (Painting/ Artcraft/ Caligraphy/ Carving and Modeling) and applying them to the contents of Fine arts(art experiencing class which reflects the understanding and experiencing of the audible and visible characteristics of those days' society and art expressing class which substantiates the concept in memory into sight and space, and art appreciating class which develops the critical thought).
