Abstract
This study is to analyze the influence of enjoyment criterion for participating in University golf class on student’s self-management, exercise performance and continuous participation. And the result is as below.
First, as a result of reviewing the difference according to demographic characteristic, it was found that there was significant difference in most of sub-criterion, including enjoyment criterion, self-management, exercise performance and continuous participation. In most criterions with significant difference, male student showed higher value than female student.
For the criterion of experience in golf before participating in the university golf class, there was significant difference in the interest (of enjoyment criterion) and competition result (of exercise result). A student without golf experience showed higher value in the interest in golf exercise, comparing with a student with golf experience. When it comes to competition result of exercise result, higher value was found in a student with experience than a student without experience.
As of student’s grade criterion, there was significant difference in mental management (of self–management). In general, a higher grade student showed higher value than a lower grade student.
When it comes to the criterion of major field, physical management, metal management, training management (of self-management) and result of exercise life (of exercise result) showed significant difference. Generally, a student major in other fields showed higher value than a student major in arts or physical education. It is understood that a person major in physical education related golf is also included in the group with higher value.
For school record, there was significant difference in competition result (of exercise result) and continuous participation. Competition result of golf exercise and continuous participation showed higher value in a student with low school record.
Lastly, the purpose of participation showed no significant difference in all criterions, including enjoyment criterion, self-management, exercise result and continuous participation.
Second, when it comes to the correlation between enjoyment criterion and self-management of students participating in university golf class, it was found that health, friendship and recognition (of enjoyment criterion) had positive influence on physical management, mental management and training management. Health and recognition (of enjoyment criterion) had positive influence in interpersonal management.
Third, according to the correlation between enjoyment criterion and exercise result, interest, friendship and recognition (of enjoyment criterion) showed positive influence on the result of exercise life, while friendship and recognition (of enjoyment criterion) showed positive influence on competition result.
Fourth, for the correlation between enjoyment criterion and continuous participation, it was shown that interest and health (of enjoyment criterion) showed positive influence on continuous participation.
